as we say bye to nora

So Nora flew home to hungary on saturday with jacob waving as her plane took off. the two months seems to have flown by so fast, but we did manage to play tourists before she left. We spent a nice day at white rock, went to the look out at cypress bowl, crossed the famous but not so eventful suspension bridge and even made it up to whistler and pemberton where our friend Taralyn lives. on the way up we made a stop at shannon falls and while in whistler we had lunch at the pita etc., a little joint that Jason, Taralyn's boyfriend and his friend own. we even saw a little black bear ( not at pita etc. but roaming around whistler village.) other wildlife we saw were deer which Francis went to catch at the side of the road at the request of Jacob. he chickened out though when he jumped at the deer and screamed WRAAAAA and the deer didn't even flinch! Nora couldn't get over the fact that not only are there trees and bushes everywhere here but that there are so many different kinds of pine trees. her apartment that she owns in hungary is located in what she thought was a "park" which is why she bought it she said, but she is not sure she will be able to look at it the same anymore.(i have been there, it pretty much consists of a big patch of dead grass and a tree in front of her window!) ( a seedling in vancouver terms.) but she enjoyed meeting everyone and has opened up the invitaion for anyone who is traveling her way to go and visit her and her tree! hopefully she will come and visit again soon, although when she was leaving she did mention that she probably won't see Mollie again, whom we expect to live until she is 20!!!!!!

BUSTED!!!

the other day Mollie (that BAD doggie) pooed in the house so we punished her by putting her in the back yard. since I had the door open she kept creeping back inside until Francis went to put her back outside. a few minutes later Jacob comes over following his dadda and said..." did you put the doggie outside with your sock?, dadda?..."

jacob's water land

I found this great play park at walmart for only $30! and aside from the fact that the water out of the hose which you have to hook it up to is ice cold and that it is an incredibly great way to waste water, Jacob had an enormous amount of fun in it for a whole afternoon.
